Anja studied chemistry at the University of Regensburg (Germany). In 2009, she obtained her PhD at the Georg-August-University (Göttingen, Germany) in the group of Claudia Steinem. There, she worked on biomimetic silica formation processes based on self-assemblies of polyamines and aminolipids. In 2010, Anja joined the Richter group as a visiting postdoctoral researcher from the MPI Stuttgart. She is investigating the interaction of hyaladherins with model systems of the pericellular coat.
